As I boarded the bus, I was ready to run my fastest times of the year. After the Adams State meet I was really wanting to run fast because my training had been going pretty good. When I was warming up for the 3k steeplechase, I was really just trying to focus on the positives. When the gun went off, I was really focused on running my race and doing my best. When I was half way through the race I was feeling good but my water steeple was subpar just like it has been all year. When it came down to it, I took 7th place with a new personal record of 11:11. I was very satisfied with how I ran because I know that i can improve for next year. On Sunday afternoon, I ran the 1500 and I knew that it was going to be race with alot of fast runners. But as I stepped to the line, I knew that I could pr. For the first 200 hundred meters, I was just sitting back but then I made the move like no other move that i had made before. I decided to pick up my pace and get up with one runner. My first lap was 59 seconds which kinda suprised me but I stayed focused. With only 250 meters left I decided to make my move and try to pass the person in front of me. When it came down to it, I had made my move a little too early but I still finished with a 16th place finish with a time of 4:22, which was a pr by 10 seconds. My bold move to move up in the first 200 meters really did pay off for me. I plan on racing like that for the rest of my running career, leaving it all on the track.
